On July 29, 2025, the Ukrainian Air Force reported the loss of its fourth F-16 fighter jet since receiving the aircraft as part of Western military aid. The aircraft crashed while performing a combat interception mission against Russian aerial targets. Fortunately, the pilot successfully ejected and was evacuated for medical evaluation, with no civilian casualties reported.
